We have a team of fully qualified installers who guaranty to do whatever it takes to make your installation a success.
BREAKDOWNS
Faulty or leaking appliances should be repaired without delay. Our engineers are highly trained in diagnostic techniques for all major makes and models of natural gas domestic and commercial central heating boilers. Technical Service Managers are always available for advice and assistance. You can rest assured our engineer is 100% committed to repair your boiler wherever possible. We will always give our customers advice which is right for them, never to create more work for ourselves. SERVICE
All gas appliances should be serviced, at least once a year. This ensures your appliance is working safely and efficiently and should also prolong the life of your appliance. Many new appliances have a 2 or 3 year manufacturers warranty, of which a service carried out by a CORGI registered engineer is mandatory to validate the second and third year of the guarantee. A boiler service includes: - Visual examination of the appliance and its flue to confirm that it is suitably located and installed in accordance will all relevant regulations.
- Examination and cleaning of combustion chamber, fan, heat exchanger burner etc.
- Examination and testing of appliance, flue, safety devices, controls and components.
- Checking and adjusting burner pressure and gas rates.
- Confirming that the appliance is capable of safe operation.
LANDLORD SAFETY CERTIFICATES
Gas appliances that have been supplied by the landlord in tenanted accommodation are, by law, required to be tested and certified on an annual basis.
The following checks will be carried out to ensure the appliance is safe to use:
- Appliance operating pressure or heat input, or where necessary both
- Correct operation of safety devices
- Ensure adequate ventilation is available where required
- Visual examination of the flue system
- Where applicable, results of a flue flow test
- Where applicable, results of a spillage test (emissions)
- Ensure flue termination is satisfactory
- The appliance is safe to use
On completion of the above safety checks the gas operative will accurately record the findings on the Landlord/Homeowner Gas Safety Record. This document is in 3 parts. One to be kept by the Landlord, one to be issued to the tenants and the third to be kept by the gas operative. These records must be kept for 2 years.
POWERFLUSHING
This allows for the hard flushing of a central heating system with minimal dismantling. Flushing the system loosens corrosion deposits and sludge which is then removed from the system leaving pipes and radiators clear and free for good circulation. SLUDGE - Cause and Effect
Sludge is a 'mud' resulting from the reaction between the water in your system and the steel in the radiators which can build up over a period of time and cause circulation and flow problems.
The following are some symptoms to watch out for, which may indicate your central heating system may have a sludge problem:
- Some radiators are completely or partially cold
- Radiators need frequent bleeding
- Repeated pump failures/corrosion deposits in pump casing
- Strange and unpleasant noises from the boiler.
